Thanks for that perspective. Using the noun instead of the adjective there was a stylistic choice rather than an outright grammatical error. For example, we can feel sadness and grief, just as we can "feel sad" or simply grieve. I used the noun resistance with intention, in that writers often see it as a a state (see Steven Pressfield's The War of Art). Yet, I can see how it can also land as an error. Style is funny that way. I appreciate your feedback.
